Welcome to the brand-new PlusPortals Mobile App! Now, both parents and students can log in to the same app to access and view student information. This guide provides an overview of the PlusPortals mobile app, which offers parents and students convenient mobile access to grades, attendance, schedules, assignments, and more. Additionally, you can access the student portal, view school announcements, alerts, and calendar events—all in one place.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your school for assistance. The school controls user management and determines which features will be displayed in the mobile app.

Download the PlusPortal Mobile App
The PlusPortals Mobile App is available for iOS and Android devices. To download the app, search for PlusPortals or Rediker in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Please ensure your device meets the minimum system requirements for optimal performance.
Log in to the PlusPortal Mobile App
The Keep Me Logged In feature that used to be on the previous ParentPlus Mobile App is no longer available.
To log in to your PlusPortal Account, do the following:
- In the Username field, enter your e-mail address.
Parents: This is the e-mail address that was provided to your student's school and is also used to log into the web application of PlusPortals.
Students: This is the e-mail address the school may have provided to you. - Enter your password. Select Login.
Biometric Login
Upon logging in, users can choose to setup the Biometric login by going to More > Settings > Under Security select App Login. You can choose to use the App Password, Fingerprint, or Face ID.
The options you have will depend on what your cellphone supports or offers.
Two-Factor Authentication
If the school has enabled 2FA, you will need to enter a verification code during your initial login and periodically afterward. You have the option to remember the device for 30 days. If the code is not entered within 15 minutes, you can use the Resend Verification Code option.
Change Your Password in the Mobile App
Change your password by doing the following:
- On the Login screen, tap Forgot Password.
You will only see Forgot Password if resetting your password is permitted by your school administrator. - On the Forgot Password screen, type your username (e-mail address).
- Select Reset.
- When prompted, tap OK and follow the instructions provided in the e-mail that is sent to you.
Switch to Another School
Parents who have students enrolled in multiple schools will have the option to switch to another school after logging in. Select in the upper right to switch to the other school, if more than 2 schools then a selector will appear.
Feed
When you log in, the parent portal opens on Feed and News. From the Feed, parents can also access Calendar, Scores and Assignments.
News
The Feed brings together Class, and Group Announcements as well as School Announcements, Notifications and Alerts in one convenient place! Announcements can be filtered by School, Class, or Group, Announcements.
The following Icons may be visible, depending on the kind of messages shared by the school when viewing the Feed. See below for more information:

Alerts are displayed at the top, followed by other announcements sorted in descending date and time order. Click on a card to view more details.
Calendar
The Calendar brings together School, Class, and Group Events in one place. Parents and Students can filter tags, which are custom categories defined by the school.

Scores
Scores display recent scores posted on assignments within the last 30 days. Parents and Students can filter to look at Recent scores or Missing Work across all classes. Missing Work are assignments that the teacher annotated as Missing Work.
Assignments
Assignments bring together coursework from all classes in one place. Teachers can post course assignments to help students stay organized. Assignments can also be filtered by status and due date.
We've improved the filters in the app to make them more user-friendly. You can now select one or multiple filters within the app. The app exclusively includes the Coursework assignment type. However, in the browser version, Coursework may encompass all three types: Assignments, Quizzes, and Discussions.

School
The School tab displays Attendance, Grades, Student Schedule, Incidents, and Demographics. On default, Daily Attendance is displayed upon selecting the School tab.
When logged in as a Parent, if you have multiple students enrolled at the school, one student will appear under the School tab. To switch between students, click the icon in the upper right corner. You can switch to another student from any tab.
Attendance
The Attendance tab displays student Daily and Period Attendance.
Daily
Daily Attendance displays a summary by type (Absences, Tardy, Dismissals, Other) along with detailed records organized by month in Newest to Oldest order. You can adjust the sort order by clicking. Scroll to view more.
Period
To view Period Attendance, select Period. This is a summary by type (ABS, TAR) for each class. Select a class box to view a breakdown of attendance codes for the class, along with detailed records organized by month in newest to oldest order. You can change the sort order by clicking. Scroll to view more.
Grades
The Grades tab displays the Report Card Grades for each class. These are grades that have been finalized by the school for the specified marking period.
Click the right arrow to view report card comments and additional details, such as skill/standard grades or narratives.
Tap on a Marking Period Grade to view both Skill Grades (if applicable to the course) and Narratives. If no Narrative is displayed, your school has chosen not to display one, or one may not have been entered by the teacher. The specific narrative shown will depend on the settings chosen by your school.
Schedule
The Schedule tab shows the daily order of classes. If your school uses different rotations for various grades, a Rotation selector will be available.
Incidents
The Incidents tab contains the Action Summary and incident details. Click the right arrow to view the incident date, action date, and incident comments.
Demographics
The Demographics tab displays the student and contact demographic information provided by the school on the app. This is view only and the data cannot be edited from the app.
Classroom
This section allows Parents and Students to view teachers' class pages, assignments, grades. See the relevant topic below for more information.
Classroom Data
To view Classroom information, do the following:
- Select Classroom at the bottom of the app.
- This will open Progress Grades for all courses for the current marking period for the already selected student. To view information for that specific class, select
, or anywhere within the class block.
- A new window will open, showing the student’s name, grade, course name/number, and teacher’s name at the top. From here, you can access Scores, Assignments, Attendance, News, Resources, and Summary information for the selected course.
Scores
Scores show the name, description, date, score out of possible points, average, and category of all assessment. Select "Category Averages." to view the average for each category in the Marking Period.
If a teacher has added an Annotation, it will appear in the bottom left corner of the Scores box. An Annotation is a note from the teacher about an assignment, such as Excellent Work! for exceeding expectations or Missing Work for an assignment that has not been turned in.
Assignments
The Assignments tab shows the name, description, and due date of assignments marked as coursework by teachers, helping students track their pending tasks.
Attendance
The Attendance section under Classroom pertains only to the selected course. It provides a summary, and details of attendance recorded for that class. You can adjust the sort order by selecting Newest to Oldest.
News
The News tab lists Alerts and Announcements the teacher has posted to the selected course.
Resources
The Resources tab will display different Links and Files the teacher may post to the class. In the example below, the teacher posted a link to access a site to log in to, as well as a file for a class exercise.
Summary
If entered by the Teacher, a Class Summary will appear on the Summary tab.

E-Mail, Messages, E-Portfolio, School Resources, Directory, Groups, Settings, Help, or Get a Walkthrough of the app. Users can also select Logout to logout of the app.
Choose E-Mail to access e-mails that have been sent from PlusPortals by Administrators, Teachers, or Group Heads.
Select the mailbox (Inbox, Sent Items, or Drafts) to view.
Search E-mails within the mailbox based on sender/recipient e-mail or subject.
Click the sign to compose a New E-mail to selected Teachers or Administrators.
Click on the tile to open the e-mail.
Click to Reply to the e-mail
Click to Delete the e-mail
Swipe to the left to Delete a Draft
Messages
Choose Messages to access messages that have been sent from PlusPortals.
E-Portfolio
Choose E-Portfolio to access reports and files, such as Report Cards, Student Schedules, and Transcripts, shared by the school as part of the student’s record.
Based on the school settings, files shared with the parent account might not be accessible to the student.
School Resources
Choose School Resources to access reference materials shared by the school, such as academic calendars or student handbooks.
Directory
View Student, Parent, and Staff information provided by your school. The directory will be accessible to parents and students only if the school administrator has granted the necessary permissions. The school can also decide which directories are visible. In the example below, parents can view both the Staff and Student Directory, but students can only view the Staff Directory.
Groups
Users can view groups Students are a part of by selecting the More > Groups option. All Groups will be visible by default. Select the Filter icon to filter by All Groups, My Groups (Student option), or an individual students' group. The Group Name and the student associated with the group will be listed in the bottom left corner. Select a group to view.
Group Page
The Group Page will open. Announcements, if any are posted, will be listed first on the Group page. Any Resources shared with the group, such as a permission slip to join a group activity, or a handbook, may be listed here. Below Resources is the Group Summary.
Settings
Select the Settings option to view Security Settings, Notifications, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, as well as the App version number. The Version number is listed at the bottom.
Security
Users can choose to login with their App Password, Fingerprint, or Face ID. Select App Login to update how to log into the mobile app.
