We've released several new features, improvements, and feature fixes for AdminPlus.com. Non-hosted schools should update to Administrator's Plus V6.2.19.01.

New Features
Schedule Dashboard
The Schedule Dashboard, found under School > Schedule, provides an overview of current academic activities. It shows the active quarter and ongoing sections based on quarter end dates. The Student Schedule tile displays the number of students without sections and those with course requests. The Manage Courses & Sections tile displays a list of active courses and their corresponding sections. To search on a Course Number, Name or Description, select to open the manage courses and sections page.

Mange Courses & Sections
From the School > Schedule Dashboard, users can access the Manage Courses & Sections page by selecting . Here you can choose to look up a course by number, name, or description, use advance search, or Add a New Course.
If you use the Advance Search to look for an English course, you can type Eng for example and all of the related courses will be listed. Click the course and choose Select.
The Course Detail will display here.

Sections Tab under Manage Courses & Sections
On the Manage Courses & Sections screen, navigate to the Sections tab to access section details. To view rosters and course section information, click the icon.
You can print or email the Roster report to selected Staff or Admin Users.

Add to a Student Schedule
Users will be able to Add a Course/Section, Course Request, Study Hall, or Add from another Student from the Student > Schedule > Line Schedule screen.

Edit a Student Schedule
Users will be able to Edit a Students existing schedule. The options will be different depending on the item type (Active Course/Section, Withdrawn Course/Section, Course Request, Study Hall).

E-Mail or Print a Student Schedule
From the Student > Schedule tab, users can now choose to Print or E-Mail a student Schedule.
The Print settings will determine what is included on the PDF attachment included in the E-Mail. Be sure to set these print settings prior to e-mailing a student schedule.
To Print select . The Schedule Settings window will open. You can choose to print Line Schedule Only, Grid Schedule Only, or Both Line and Grid Schedule. Up to Six(6) Demographic Fields can be selected to be included with either the Field Name, Description or chose to not print the field name.
To E-Mail, select . You can choose to send to either Contacts of this Student, Teachers of this Student, Staff, Admin Users, or This Student.

View a Course Roster
While on the Student > Schedule > Line Schedule tab, select to view the roster for the selected course. The View Roster window will open. Here you can view the roster and the course information will be displayed along the top. Users can also choose to E-Mail the roster to Staff and Admin Users, or Print a PDF of the Section Roster.

Calendar Tile
A new Calendar Tile has been added to School > Daily and Period Attendance Dashboard that displays the First Day, Last Day, and Number of Days in the Calendar. Select to open the Calendar Table.
Add a Day to the Calendar Before or After an Existing Day
From the new Calendar Tile on the School > Daily or Period Attendance Dashboard, users can access the Calendar Table to Add a Day to the Calendar before or after an existing day. Select to open the list of options. Select to choose to Add a Day Before or Add a Day After.
If there is not space for a day to be added either before or after the selected date, that option will be grayed out. Since Thursday 9-19-2024 exists on the calendar, the Add a Day Before option is grayed out.
The Insert a Day to the Calendar window opens and you can add the day as you normally would.

Edit or Delete a Day from the Calendar
From the new Calendar Tile on the School > Daily or Period Attendance Dashboard, users can access the Calendar Table to Edit or Delete a Day from the Calendar. Select to open the list of options. Select to choose to Edit or Delete a Day.
If you choose to Edit, the Editing a Day on the Calendar window will open. Here you can edit the Date, Rotation Value and Membership Value. Click Continue. Confirm the changes and select Update.
If you choose to Delete, deleting the school calendar day will delete all student and staff attendance data for the selected school day. The following Warning will appear:

Individual E-Mail Enabled for Students, Staff and Contacts
Individual Students, Staff Members, and Contacts can now be sent a quick e-mail from the One Student / One Staff screens. Select the E-Mail Icon below the Student or Staff photo:
The E-Mail window will open. The email will be sent to the student, with the option to CC Contacts of This Student, Teachers of This Student, Staff, and Admin Users. Attachments can be added to the E-Mail. A copy of the email sent can also be saved in the Portfolio by selecting Save as PDF in Portfolio.
E-mails are sent from messenger@rediker.com. The default Display As name is the user’s Administrator's Plus username, but this can be changed by clicking on the gear icon on the top right of the email. A reply to email can also be specified.
Import New Students from File
A CSV or tab delimited file with field headers in the 1st row can be used to Import New Students in the Enrollment Center. The file must contain the student’s First Name, Last Name, Grade Level for Enrollment. Date of Birth, although not required, is also recommended as an additional check to existing students.

Import New Staff from File
A CSV or tab delimited file with field headers in the 1st row can be used to Import New Staff in the Enrollment Center. The file must contain the Staff members' First Name and Last Name for Enrollment.

Improvements
Course/Section Option Added to Attendance Batch Entry
When entering Attendance Batch Entry for Students, users can now select Course/Section.
Progress Report Settings
A Settings gear has been added to the Combined Progress Report Tile under Students > Grades > Reports so users can specify their own settings for the report. The Progress Report Settings window will open where you can select settings under General Settings, Summary Page, and Subject Pages. After the settings are set, click save. You will receive a message that your Progress Report Settings have been saved. Click Done > Choose the Marking Period of your Choice > Click Generate.
Retain Schedule Sort
Once a user sorts on a student Line Schedule, that sort is retained for that user session. If that user logs out of AdminPlus.com, the sort will defualt to Course Section.

Privacy Mode Message for Student or Staff Snapsot Settings hides No Rights Message for users who do not have rights to view specific data.
Contacts: Local Field Rights Based on Relationship
The Defaults for Local Field Rights Based On Relationship set in classic will be used when adding a new Contact in AdminPlus.com. These settings are listed in classic under Setup > Contacts > Set Default Local Rights:
