AdminPlus.com Release 4

We've released several new features, improvements, and feature fixes for AdminPlus.com. Highlights of this update include:

New Features

Switch Schools

Schools that share households in classic will be set up so users can switch schools within the application by selecting the ellipsis icon adjacent to the school's name.

If the user selects a school they do not have access to, they will see this warning message.

Single URL

Organizations that have a single login URL in their PlusPortals can use a similar AdminPlus.com login URL to allow users to enter their e-mail and select from the list of schools.

If the user selects a school, they do not have permissions for they will see this warning message on the login screen.

Daily Attendance Batch Entry

The Edit Student Attendance Batch Entry feature allows users to update attendance for multiple students or staff simultaneously. More options are available for selection: Students can be selected by Grade Level, Database Field(s), Views, or Individual Students. Staff can be selected by Type (Teaching or Non-Teaching), Database Field(s), Views, or Individual Staff. 

Daily Attendance Bulletin

Edit Note 1 (previously Corrections & Messages) and Note 2 (previously Nurse Dismissals). Use Settings (gear icon) to customize the contents of the Daily Attendance Bulletin. Click Expand to run the report to print or download. If Attendance Totals are included the report will also have trend arrows which indicate the difference from the previous day. Red up arrow indicates more today, green down arrow indicates less today, blue side to side arrow indicates no change.

Period Attendance Bulletin

School Incidents Dashboard

Receive Incidents from PlusPortals, view the Outstanding Action counts, access the Fast Served process and view the Fast Served Logs. The Receive Incidents tile displays the Submitted, Approved, and Deleted Counts that also display on the Approval Center Incident Tile. Expand to review and approve the incidents or delete incidents that are not approved. 

Fast Served

Displays the Outstanding Action Counts configured in the settings (gear icon). Expand to search for outstanding Actions exceeding a specified amount within a chosen date range, for all grades or selected grades. Select the Served Code and Served Date to quickly apply the served code to one or more students on the list.  

Progress Report

Generate a Progress Report featuring Gradebook scores, averages, and more by navigating to One Student > Report Cards > Reports > Progress Reports. Select the Marking Period and Generate the report to get up to the minute information from the TeacherPlus Gradebooks. The report uses the settings made by the TeacherPlus Gradebook Manager for the Combined Progress Report. Page through the report and print or export the report if needed.

Birthday Tile

View the number of students and staff with a birthday today. Click the number to see the detailed Birthday List report or to select a different date. Use the gear icon to specify the Staff Birthdate field. Only custom date fields will appear in the dropdown. The Birthday List report includes Phone, Birthdate, and Homeroom.

Privacy Mode

Student Snapshot Privacy Mode allows users to customize which student snapshot tiles display data. The Snapshot Settings determines how the tile displays when moving from student to student, however, you can also change the mode temporarily by clicking the tile's eye icon. The top four tiles (Profile, Contacts, Daily Attendance, and Schedule) will continue to display data on the other tabs when viewing in collapsed mode. Use expand mode to only see the selected fields from the Profile tile.

Improvements

Shared Household

Schools that share contacts in classic can be set up with Shared Households in AdminPlus.com so the Household list displays the students in the household from the other schools. The household count includes all the students and contacts in the Household and the Students in the Household list include the School name.

Add New Contact screen redesign

The Add New Contact screen has been optimized to avoid duplicates by putting the Create New Contact option last. Users are encouraged to review existing contacts. Students in the same household may have non-household contacts in common. Students with the same last name may have contacts in common.

GPA Tile Redesign

The GPA Tile on the Student Snapshot screen has been redesigned so the most referred to info (Total Credits and Adjusted GPA) are on top. Indented under the GPA are the Quality Points and Weight used to calculate the GPA (QP/Wt).

Custom sort for Enter Daily Attendance

The sort selected on Enter Daily Attendance is maintained when an Attendance entry is edited. APID is the default sort for Attendance when entering the screen, however, if the user sorts by Name the sort will be maintained while they make their edits. Added entries will continue to be added to the top of the list.  

Void

Online charges/payments can be voided if needed. Since the charge/payment was made by the parent and approved by the office they can't be deleted but they can be voided. Once voided the amount will appear in red to the side of the amount box on the edit screen. The amount will not appear on the table and the entry will be struck through to indicate it was voided.

Feature Fixes

Drag and Drop

The selected fields in settings for the Student Snapshot Profile and Demographic tile can be selected and re-ordered using drag and drop.

IEP Portfolio to Gradebook

IEP portfolio files created in AdminPlus.com were not visible in Gradebook. This has been corrected.
