Add a Mentor to an Evaluation

You can add a mentor to an evaluation you are working on, giving that user permission to either view or edit the evaluation. The user is notified when they're added as a mentor, when the evaluation is submitted, and when a signature is added to the evaluation.

If you are currently viewing the evaluation, skip to step 3.

  1. On the navigation bar, click Evaluations > View evaluations.
  2. Search for the unsubmitted evaluation you want to add a mentor to, and click View.

Unsubmitted evaluations are identified by in the Submitted column. If you don't see the Submitted column, check your settings. For more information, see Customize the View Evaluations Page.

  1. To the right of the evaluation, click .
  2. At the bottom of the View mentors dialog box, click a user in the drop-down list.

The list of mentors are users who can evaluate the user being evaluated. To give additional users the permission needed to be a mentor, see Set a User's Evaluation Permissions.

  1. Click Add.
  2. Next to the user's name, click either View or Edit to set their permission for the evaluation.

If the mentor changes the descriptor you selected, their selection overwrites yours.

  3. Click Close.
  4. At the bottom of the evaluation, click Save or Submit.

If you submit the evaluation, the user can see it in their Teacher Evaluator account and you can't edit the evaluation unless you unsubmit it.

If you click Submit, a dialog box appears. You can select to Notify the teacher via email and/or Send a copy to the teacher's AdminPlus E-Portfolio. Then, click Submit.
