New Features

Added Standards Based Grading Libraries

We added the Standards Based Grading libraries, available in the Silverlight version, to the HTML version of TeacherPlus Management Site. Under Standards > Library/Tools, you can click a library your school uses, and in that library, you can create, edit, and delete items. You can also link or unlink items from lower levels, such as linking an indicator to a standard.

Added Settings for Batch Entering Attendance

We added a Batch Entry (Remote Learning) feature to Settings > Attendance that allows you to specify which batch entry options, if any, appear when teachers right-click in their Class column to enter attendance. Batch entering attendance codes does not overwrite previously entered codes.

Allow Teachers to Batch Enter Attendance:

If you click Yes, Batch Entry appears when teachers right-click in their Class column. Teachers can choose which attendance code to batch enter for all students, and they can also choose to replace a code that’s been entered with another. For example, teachers can change all students marked with the Present code to the Remote: Present code.

One Click Batch Entry Code:

In the Select Code drop-down list, you can select a specific attendance code to appear as a batch entry option when teachers are entering attendance codes. Teachers can select this option to batch enter the code for all students who do not already have an attendance code entered.

One Click Batch Entry by Field:

If you clicked Yes to allow teachers to batch enter attendance and selected a specific attendance code, you can select the Conditional Field check box and, in the drop-down list, select a validated field. Teachers can then batch enter attendance by one of that field’s entries. For example, if your school has a hybrid schedule where some students are remote while others are attending school in-person, you can select the Group field, and teachers can batch enter the selected attendance code for whichever group is learning remotely that day.

Improvements

Improved Navigation Menu Layout

We moved Settings to the top of the navigation menu and moved Time Zone Settings from Logs to Settings, since it assists with more than logs. We also added a line to separate navigation menu items only available to the “gbadmin” from the menu items available to all admin accounts.

Merged Pages Related to Achievement Level Scales

We merged the Assign Achievement Level Scales to Courses page into the Add/Edit Achievement Level Scales page to remove the inconvenience of switching between the two pages when adding or editing scales and assigning them to courses.

Merged Settings into the Standards Based Grading Levels and Calculation Methods Page

We merged the functionality of the Edit Standards Level Names and Marking Period Calculations pages into the Standards > Standards Based Grading Levels and Calculation Methods page to more closely resemble how these settings were in Silverlight.

Feature Fixes

Fixed Issue With Accessing Inactive Teachers' Archived Gradebooks

Previously, some users received a blank screen when attempting to view an inactive teacher’s gradebooks from an archival year. We fixed this issue.
